Eating around the Swords area ?

I'm interested in Swords town and area as this is where I'm going to be stopping . I've heard there are some good places to eat but I'm really after a locals pub with good homecooked grub . Also after locally caught seafood served up in a great waterside pub in the evenings .

Any ideas ?

Swords is about 5 miles inland, so you'll struggle with the 'waterside' pub. Malahide is right by the sea and nearby - try http://www.malahidechamber.ie/restaurants.htm for a list.

I'm not the most knowledgable on Swords, so apologies for that.

ells, i love the coachman, just about half way between the airport and swords, on the right hand side but it's not on the water....we did eat at a restaurant in malahide, i think it was called donal's pub and restaurant, but not positive about that....it has a great outdoor terrace where you can see the irish sea......the food was great.....

Thanks to both of you....the coach sounds like one to try and yes I've been checking out Malahide for the waterside bit .

No worries oma...I have enough problems with my own name at times . Also on arrival we're more than likely to drive past it on our way into Swords .

ells, you will definitely pass it between the airport and swords, you can't miss it....it's on the right just before the round about.....
