The Shelbourne's afternoon tea is legendary. There is no dress code.

Hi declansmum

We recently had the 'Art Afternoon Tea' in The Merrion Hotel. It was a fabulous experience. The Pastry chef has created a selection of pasteries to represent various pieces of Art that are on display in the Hotel. It was a really special afternoon. I haven't had a chance to post my review on TA yet but would highly recommend it.

Both places recommended already are very good, I particularly like The Shelbourne. I have never got a good feel in the Westbury but I can't really say why! Another to add to the list is The Clarence. Dress code is rarely a problem in Dublin.

Hi there,

Im in my final year of media arts and making a radio documentary for my final year project on Afternoon tea. Im searching for people who go for afternoon tea to interview. Would you be interested in being in my documentary or know anyone who goes for afternoon tea that would? It would be a great help.

Thanks a million

For Merrion/Westbury/Shelbourne, I would book.

Difficult to choose but I would go with Merrion.

All are very filling however so don't have lunch!
