Immediate help, please! Lost iphone in Taxi from Airport

Hi,

My daughter just texted me from her friend's phone that she dropped her phone in the taxi from the airport. We are going to try and call the taxi company, but all she knows is it is a black taxi.

Does anyone know - are all the taxis black or are they different colors? Hoping to narrow down which company it might be.

Thanks!

Would your daughter not ring the phone she's lost and see if someone answers.

You should also consider getting the phone blocked.

Good luck....

Great suggestion, Bean, to have the phone blocked.

Probably a bit late for Scotlady's daughter but for those of you with iphones the following may be of interest:

Uasal, there was an article on the radio about a week ago about what to do if your iphone is stolen. So I'm not claiming credit for the good idea!!

This might be of use:

There are 5 designated Garda stations in the Dublin area that manage property that has been found in taxis. The stations are:

Irishtown: 01 666 9600

Store Street: 01 666 8000

Finglas: 01 666 7500

Tallaght: 01 666 6000

Shankill: 01 666 5900

OP, taxi's are all different colours, not just black.

Good news! Even though no one answered when she rang the phone, the driver found it later and remembered who it belonged to. He called the hotel and told her he would return it to her in the morning. So she now has her phone back! A very nice man!

Brilliant news, I'm so delighted for your daughter.

If your daughter has the name of the taxi driver, maybe you could post here so that we can name and praise.

I hope the rest of the holiday is uneventful and pleasant.

Thanks for getting back to us Scotlady.
