What is the best way from the Royal Marine Hotel to Heuston Train Station?
Dart to Tara street and the 25 bus from Aston Quay is an alternative to walking up to the LUAS. It is much of a muchness.
With the 25 it will leave you across the river on Parkgate St so there's a walk at the other end - not much granted! But the big drawback is it goes only every hour!
The 25, 25A and 25B combined have a very regular service. Agreed though the dart to Connolly or Tara Street and luas to Heuston is the simplest to navigate. It's a pity our archaic ticketing system will require a separate ticket for each though
You can buy a ticket from any DART station to Heuston that includes the trip on the tram from Connolly. You may need to get it from the booking office, not sure if it's an option on the vending machines.
The easiest is to go to Connolly station on the DART and then get the LUAS from Connolly station to Heuston station. After you exit the ticket barrier at Connolly, walk straight ahead, then down the escaltor to the LUAS platform at ground level. Couldn't be easier.
It's possibly about 9 miles by Taxi so not sure how that might work if there are more than one passenger with a lump of baggage?
