Safety of area

Hello,

a friend recommended an apartment on Lower Ormond Quay,Dublin.,one block from the bridge. Does anyone know about the safety of this area?We will be staying with a young child.

I'm a little confused why your friend would recommend a place if they thought it was unsafe. But overall you shouldn't have any specific safety concerns in that area, it's center city Dublin, hold on to your bags, don't flash wads of money around, watch out for pickpockets etc etc. same as any other big city.

Ormond Quay, Nice!

As IrishFan says, don't flash wads of money around. Use your street savvy.

It isn't a great place for youngsters though - traffic, noise and nowhere to run around and play!

I used to live on Ormond Quay a few years ago. Great spot. Central to everything.
