If you're interested in hiking at all, I suggest looking into Walkabout Wicklow. We took this tour to Glendalough about 2 years ago and it was one of my favorite days in Ireland. It was a 3-4 hour hike and then a tour of the monastic site. We loved being outside and Glenalough is breathtakingly beautiful. I'm sorry I couldn't answer your question, but I just wanted to recommend another option!

I can't find a link for the Extreme Day Tour. The other two, Collins and Wild Wicklow, look very much the same only difference is that WW is €2 cheaper. I've done the Bus Eireann one and it follows a similar pattern though visits Powerscourt instead of Avoca.

You could always go directly to Glendalough and spend all your time there. http://www.glendaloughbus.com/timetable.aspx

I used Viator.com last year for the Wild Wicklow tour. It was an absolutely fabulous tour which included stops at Avoca, a small pub, PS I love you road, the monestary and hiking around a lake. And not to forget the shot of Jameson whiskey at the end of the tour!
