Accommodations

I'm going to Dublin for 4 days and would love to stay in a castle for a night. Are there any nearby?

Also, am coming from Glascow UK. Should I prebook a flight from Vancouver Canada or do it when I'm in Glascow?

Hi, not sure they will fit in to exactly what you are looking for but these are a few 'castles' in and close(ish) to Dublin.

Will you be flying home from Glasgow or Dublin? I would book the Glasgow/Dublin leg about six weeks out, the nearer it gets the more it will cost, booking a few days in advance will see the price shoot up rapidly. Which airline are you looking at?

I stayed at Smarmore Castle last year and really enjoyed myself. It's almost an hour north-west from Dublin airport, in a lovely rural position with a nice Italian restaurant on site. They even let me check-in the morning I arrived from an overnight flight for no extra charge. I paid €64 for a huge room with TV Internet and large bathroom, and a separate wee sitting room that was the round tower portion of the structure. The large full Irish breakfast was included.

Safe travels,

Sunny

Any recommendations for some B&B's in Dublin city centre. We like walking, 2 of us, don't want it too noisy, like to pay around ? Minot sure what B&b prices are like. I guess mid - mid high price.

I'm not sure of B&B prices. So is $70-100/night an average price for something like a 3-4 star accommodations in Dublin ?
