Taxi or walk? Late night from Temple Bar to Conrad Hotel

We are two women in their 30s in Temple Bar for an evening. Assuming we will be headed back to our hotel (the Conrad Dublin, just south of St. Stephen's Green) later in the evening after dinner and drinks, is this a safe route to walk at night or should we get a taxi? We have your usual urban area common sense that we would be using (of course!) but I am unfamiliar with Dublin. If taxi is the way to go, are they easy to find or do you have to specifically call for a ride? Thanks in advance!

Taxis are very easy to find and no need to book as they are plentiful. The walk from Temple Bar to The Conrad is about 20/25 minutes and it's quite a nice walk if you stroll up Grafton Street on to St. Stephen's Green and around the The Green to your hotel. If you wanted to break your journey up along the way, there are many bars in and around Grafton Street and The Green on the way back to your hotel and as it's usually busy around these areas it is usually quite safe.

Nice walk. A few different routes to choose from. I would probably choose to walk up Dawson Street and turn left at the top.

I'm with Pro. Sparrow. Walk up Grafton Street ( pedestrianised) and around the Green to the hotel. Nice walk and lovely hotel btw!

I agree with the other posters I would walk the routes already suggested.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. lordkimmage- I will be in Dublin next week, so early May, and we will likely be walking back to the hotel sometime before midnight.

That being the case I too would walk. However were it after midnight I'd be inclined to take a taxi.
