First Time in Dublin.. Car Hire Question..

Hi: We are heading for our first European Vacation in July. Our group has 6 people and we require a 9 seater van in Dublin for 3 days... We need the 9 seater to accommodate luggage. Can anyone recommend a great Car Rental company. I have tried internet, but cant get a quote on a 9 seater, it just defaults back to small cars...We are hiring in Dublin and will leave car at Cork Airport.

Thanks in advance

Avis www.avis.ie do a 9 seater Renault Traffic., however you might have to store some luggage in the van as the boot only accommodates 4 cases.

I recommend that your group use soft shell luggage for this trip.

The main players all have minibus's available but always avoid short selling web based agents .. go direct, Dooley, Budget, Enterprise etc.. tripadvisor.ie/ShowTopic-g186591-i88-k566528… If you need an automatic you could be limited..

You do not need/want a vehicle 'in' Dublin, get it when you leave.

Not to stay from your thread, fuchsia, is correct, no need for a vehicle in Dublin. Dublin, has great public transportation, and, it's an easy city to walk in.

much more sensible, and probably cheaper, to get two cars instead. far more luggage space and comfort.
