A temporary job in Dublin?

I know this question is not exactly "touristy" but I'll ask all the same because we found so much help in this forum when planning our trip to Dublin last winter.

We are from Rome, Italy and as many other kids, our son is actually in Dublin where he attended an English course while living with an Irish family. He thought it was easier to find a temporary job to stay over another month (September) before he comes back to start College.......but well it's not so easy. It seems half Italy and Spain had the some idea!! So, going against my Italian mom's instinct that says "get back home son" , I'll ask you: does anyone have an idea where he can go to ask for a job? He's 19 and has little working experience, he says he gave his CV around but no way.

Anyway I'm happy he had this experience, he sounds so happy and in love with anything that's Irish. Grazie Dublino,

Centra's/Spars, fast food restaurants, basically anywhere like that. There are always signs up all over the place looking for help so he shouldn't have much of a problem.

The problem is not many places will want to take someone on only for a month. He would be better off saying he will be staying for a year and then just leave after a month. Dishonest yes but it will make it easier to get a job.

Wow thank you Doug and Treasa. I know it sounds like cheating but well ......we have a proverb "necessità aguzza l'ingegno" Necessity sharps one brain .......OK I mean sometimes one has to adjust to situations. Grazie again
