National University Galway Hotel Suggestions

We will be visiting the university this summer and looking for hotel suggestions in the area so we can get a feel for the University. Price range would be not to exceed 135Euro with 2 single beds. "Near" means 10-15 minute walking distance. We will have a car, so parking availability is also preferred.

I'd stay here. Though, it is a twenty minute walk.

Well thanks Lord Kimmage. But I don't think I can bring myself to stay anywhere that has GOLDEN YEARS SPRING SALE on the landing page! hahahahahaha. Anything else.

Not quite a hotel, but if you want a feel for the collge, try the college accomodation - corrib village:

The college is 10 minutes walking from the city centre so any hotel in the city centre would suit you. Try Jurys for good prices and parking.

Corrib Village will have ample parking but it is a long walk to the city centre. Hotels in the city will have less parking available.

Corrib village is a 15 minute walk to the city centre, through the college, not far at all.

WorldWiser,

Have you walked this in 15 minutes? If so, I admire your walking pace! Corrib village to eyre square is 1.56 miles via the college, check on Google pedometer if you don't believe me. The average walking speed is approx 3 miles per hour. Do the maths!

NiceIrland

I live directly across from Corrib village and have walked the walk most of my life.

I have lived in this area, just up the road from Corrib Village in fact... I have walked it and it is not a 15 minute walk, no matter what your 'expert' opinion is. TokyTravel, perhaps you might come back to us if you stay in Corrib Village and let us know if you have managed tp walk from there to Eyre Square in 15 minutes.

We'll have to agree to disagree so. I dont come on here to argue with people, just to give my opinion as I have experienced, as everyone else does.
