Lodging in Killarney

Greetings! We are planning a trip to Ireland and are very interested in An extended stay in Killarney. We have been looking at VRBO and came across a lovely set of cottages at The Priory.

Has anyone stayed there or have helpful info regarding this property?

Thanks so much!

We have not stayed at The Priory, but have rented through VRBO. A few comments about The Priory from reading the details on the VRBO web site, #1 the location off Muckross Road sounds very convenient to the town. #2 you deal directly with the owner through email and not an agent. #3 it's pretty much booked up for this summer, which is a good sign. #4 It has all the necessities you will want for your extended stay.

Hopefully, someone will have more direct knowledge of this particular VRBO listing.

We just stayed at the priory in mid-May for 7 nights. We absolutely loved the place! It is clean, comfortable, close to town and Ring of Kerry, etc. The owners are extremely helpful (Tim and Bernadette). Wait til you taste her warm homemade scones! There are 4 cottages all within the walled "Priory". There's off street parking and it is very private and quiet. We rented the "Teach Mor" cottage. Tim made all the arrangements for our day's tour of the Gap of Dunloe..the taxi picked us up at the cottage and met us at the end of the day when the boat docked at Ross Castle. He also has the best printed directions for driving the Ring of Kerry and Dingle..move over Rick Steves! He recommended local pubs for local music and atmosphere. It was a wonderful week and I'd highly recommend the place!the rental price was reasonable as everything was so clean and modern.
