Belfast -Galway - kilarney -Cork

Is it doable in 2 1/2days as we are visiting family in Belfast and have 2 days to fill in before flying out to London. Would like to see Galway and muckross castle in Kilarney then fly out of Cork. Is this too much to squeeze into Friday Saturday Sunday . Need to be in London by Sunday night. Any advice would be appreciated. Maz.

Too much. Forget Galway and just concentrate on Killarney. But even then you will be hard pushed. belfast to Killarney - without stops will take you at least 6 hours - http://goo.gl/maps/X2hEG

This really isn't feasible.

When will you be here? Reason I'm asking is that there are different things on at weekends so you may encounter unexpectedly busy places.

Also, if you hire a car in Northern Ireland there will be a surcharge for leaving it back in The Republic. Even just taking the train from Belfast to Killarney will take you the best part of a day. And there are no flights from Belfast to Killarney or Cork.

It IS possible to take a flight from Dublin to Killarney so this might be worth considering. www.aerlingus.com

Thank you so much. If we only have 2 days what would you suggest on the west coast as we did the Belfast Dublin drive last time and would like to make use of the 2 days and see somewhere different.

Galway as a base to explore Connemara and the Burren, you could spend a week doing it so two days will give ye lots to do.

If I had only two days and was in Belfast I would stay in Northern Ireland, hire a car, drive the Antrim coast road, go to the Giants Causeway, dark hedges etc. there is enough spectacular scenery in the North to fill a month, let alone two days. Then fly Belfast to London.

Also, there is no Muckross Castle in Killarney. There is a Ross Castle and a Muckross House.

I totally agree we love Northern Ireland but we did Dublin to the Giants Causeway last trip so were hoping to see some of the west coast this time. We are visiting with family in Belfast and only have 2 days at the end to go outside of Belfast.
