Hotels in Kilkenny - Springsteen Concert W/E

Have checked all hotels in Kilkenny and all are full. Any other places close by that might be easy to travel back and forth from that I could try to book???

Budget not the issue... getting room is!

If all else fails, there are buses and trains being laid on from Dublin for both days of the shows, leaving from 12.30pm and returning at 00.30am.

Otherwise check out Carlow, not too far away.

Have you tried Bed and Breakfasts in Kilkenny?

kilkennycityonline.com/bed-and-breakfast-kil…

Or www.booking.com

Waterford also might be worth looking at. There are regular bus services between the two cities.

For anyone else looking some handy places a spin outside Kilkenny: The Lord Bagnel in Leighlinbridgethe Stephouse in Borris, (on the right side of town for the concert,) or you could stay in Carlow town and take the train-the station is only about 8 mins walk from the venue.

You can book hotels through the well-known booking sites such as booking.com and hotels.com. I imagine the hotels are currently updating their prices, that is why they are not taking direct bookings.

I definitely recommend checking into the B&Bs. There are nice ones in town (like Butler House) and there are great ones just outside town. If you don't mind the 12km commute, Moonarch in Callan is very nice and the owner, Margaret, is a jem. She has a few rooms she rents.

If you stay farther out, look into bus schedules. Parking in Kilkenny is limited on a good day. And finding taxis that weekend may also be fun with over 30,000 expected each night! Just something for you to keep in mind.

Have fun with The Boss. I am in Kilkenny for a visit, and the concert is already all the talk around town--and it's only February!

Try Waterford, Thomastown, Bagnelstown, Carlow. If you have a car all of these can be easily reached by the motorway. Would assume there will be trains/buses laid on from these also.
