hotel and bars

Hi

coming down from the north to Kilkenny with my wife in march for a saturday night. I was in the city for Dylan a long time back and had a great time, although things are a little hazy.

Not sure what hotel betweenKilkenny river court and the Kilkenny. Any thoughts?

We would like to go for a few drinks in trad local type bars. Any suggestions? I think i might have been in one called Hollands but not sure. I liked it anyway. Then go for a meal at a reasonable priced but good restaurent.

Any ideas please?

Mick

The Kilkenny? Do you mean Hotel Kilkenny or somewhere else?

I did mean the Kilkenny hotel but since I posted my wife has booked the Pembroke without letting on. Looks nice and convenient. Still need advise on pubs etc.

Thanks

Be sure and check out Tynan's Bridge House Bar. It is a great place for a pint and a chat with the locals.

Bannergirl,

Yes seems to be a "must". Only worried that we will be plastered by the time we get to eat our meal. Rugby on too!. One of these days am going to do Ennis as well. Heard good reports.

Cheers

Lol Mick. That has happened to me quite a few times in Kilkenny:-)

If you decide to come down to Ennis, be sure and let me know and I will point you in the right direction!

Funnily, I was hoping to pay visit to Belfast this year. I loved it last time we were there.
