Hello, I´ll be spending two or three weeks in July 2012 in Limerick, I`ve 8 and 10 years old girls, we will be at st joseph’s Place.

If someone kwon a summer camp nearby i´ll be very gratefull.

We`re from Spain, and they don´t speak a lot of english but i want they to play and spend time with kids.

Hi Olga,

The People's Park is only about 5 minutes walk from St. Joseph's Place. And your children could have fun there.

The summer camps are usually held in the suburbs and you'd need to get transport there.

However there is a "Lets Go" summer camp in Mary Immaculate College from the 9th - 13th July. Mary Immaculate is maybe 7 minutes walk from St. Joseph's Place (out onto O'Connell Avenue, then up to the traffic lights at Bobby Byrnes pub. Then at the next junction take a right towards the Redemptorist Church. When you get to the Redemptorist Church take a left and walk for about 5 minutes and Mary Immaculate will be on your right.

There's an IPad summer camp in Viller's School on the NCR from the 30th July to the 3rd August.

There's also a Glee Summer camp in the University Concert Hall from the 11th - 15th July.

The problem with these camps, Harvey, is that they are all well outside the city and the OP was looking for summer camps within a short distance of St. Joseph Street which is between O'Connell Avenue and The Crescent.

Mungret is not very accessible without a car and Monaleen means walking down to William Street, then getting a bus out to Castletroy and then walking to the GAA Club which is quite a bit down the Monaleen Road.

Na Piarsaigh on the Ennis Road (near Coonagh roundabout) is quite accessible by bus but afaik there are no summer camps there - we certainly haven't got any details yet and we usually get details of summer camps on that side of town.

Matteo

What do you want to know?

LIT http://www.lit.ie/default.aspx is approx 20 min walk from the city centre in the Moylish neighbourhood. It is next to Thomond Park http://www.thomondpark.ie/ where Munster play rugby,http:// www.munsterrugby.ie.

Anything else?

Ballinacurra Gaels runs from 2 july to 6 july- lots of kids form St Josephs Street area involved that is their local camp- about 12-15 min walk. Helmuts and hurleys provided

Otherwise

another almost free option thay might like to explore is breakdancing workshops on all that week some in Daghdha or in weston both which are close by

The same festival will have a great open air festival in the peoples park which is beside Josephs street on the Saturday
