The Absolute is a lovely hotel. You will very much enjoy it.

Haven't been to the Steakout in years. I love the Cornstore in Thomas Street, but you'd need to book in advance www.cornstorerestaurantslimerick.ie/‎ For a good Chinese the Jasmine Palace diagonally across the road is excellent. But again you'd need to book in advance www.jasminepalace.ie

Opposite The Jasmine and just up 100 yards or less from the Steakout is Chocolat, another lovely restaurant www.chocolatrestaurant.ie/‎

Closer to the Absolute, you could go to the Locke Bar and Restaurant. Excellent food and a lovely pub. Its less than 5 minutes from the Absolute www.lockebar.com You really wouldn't go wrong if you went there.

Depends what you want in a pub.

Very near the Steakhouse is Shannon St. Myles Breens and Flannerys two good pubs, age grp 30+

On Cecil St you have Tom Collins, old fashioned pub, age grp 30+

On Catherine St Flannerys & Bourkes both around 25+

On Glentworth St, The Glen Tavern, should have live music, The White House bo-ho, both 35+

Very near you hotel is Portleys, lovely local pub, great pint

I've stayed in the absolute. It's lovely hotel would definitely stay again however there is no leisure centre and when I was there the bar is very quiet. Texas steakout is fab. Never had a bad meal there!
