Long term parking near the station

Mrs Blades and I plan to get the train in Peterborough for a few days away in Brussels. We need to get to the station by car.

Is there anywhere close to the station where we can park for five or seven days or so please?

The multi-story car parks could be expensive, the station car park too, I know this may sound odd but where are you coming from? The main bus station is just over in Queensgate and over a footbridge and you may find it cheaper to go by bus and leave the car at home.

The other option, phone the hotel opposite the station they might be able to help out at a good price but honestly you are better depending on location using the bus.

We live in rural Rutland so it's a bit difficult to do anything but car to Peterborough. Car to Oakham is also difficult as there is no long-term parking anywhere there.

Might be worth looking at driving to Whittlesey and getting the train back to P'boro (9 mins on train). There is free parking there. It's a small station and the car park is not secure but there is someone there in a signal box all day, and possibly all night.

Might also be worth giving Britannia cap parks a call on 0845 5 555888 to see if they offer multi day parking. They are just next to the station and charge £8 a day, they may offer longer.

Depends exactly how close you want to be to the station.

In Midland Road there is a commuter car park run by RCP. They do a 5 day ticket for £10 plus 50p card fee.

It's a 10 min walk from the carpark to the station.

Google "rcp midland road" for link to the carpark.
