We have a connecting flight from Kiev to Cancun with a transfer at Gatwick.
Arriving to South terminal and 1h:50m later departing from North terminal.
Assuming the bags will be checked in at the source airport (Kiev) with the pickup at the destination (Cancun) and having boarding passes for the whole trip issued in Kiev will we need to go though any border, passport, visa check points at Gatwick?
Having a similar connecting flight via Amsterdam does not involve any visa checkpoints. We just walk from one gate to the other inside one terminal. We present our passports and boarding passes to enter the plane.
Will we have to go though any check points in Gatwick while transferring between South and North terminals by inter-terminal transit shuttle?
Same question regarding check points in Gatwick for the return trip from Mexico to Ukriane.
Arriving to North Terminal, departing to Kiev from South Terminal.
We'll be traveling with Ukrainian passports (not EU!) and Electronic Travel Authorization printouts for traveling to Mexico. We will not hold UK transit visas. We did not have any issues during our previous trip to Mexico via Amsterdam with the same set of documents. And we'd like to make sure that there are not visa check points for getting between terminals in Gatwick.
