Will be in Milton Keynes in August.... how is the weather in August? As I live in a sunny summery island it feels odd to dig out boots or jackets at this time of year...do I have to?

1. Re: Weather

hi sossie,

The weather in England is unfortunately very unpredictable, even in summer - that's why we talk about it all the time!

The best advice is to come prepared for anything. As they say, there is no such thing as bad weather, only the wrong clothes.

And being further south, you may be lucky as it does tend to be drier than up north.

2. Re: Weather

It probably won't snow - probably.

Apart from that virtually anything could happen.

Bring a fleece, a raincoat, sunglasses & shorts

Sossie....I very much doubt you will freeze to death but this might be a useful link as a very rough guidleine. Conditions in Milton Keynes wont differ much from those in London

You can get up to date weather on the local BBC Radio Station website, http://news.bbc.co.uk/local/threecounties/hi/ . What you need to do is change it from Luton to Cranfield, what is the nearest point on the drop down list. Cranfield is about 7 miles from Central Milton Keynes
