Few drinks in Doncaster

Hi, can anyone recommend a nice place(s) to have a few drinks on Friday night in Doncaster/nr racecourse, somewhere we can have a few drinks, is there anywhere a bit chilled/special for a few beers and something to eat. I know there are quite a few student type of bars around but looking for somewhere for 30+ age range...not boring old man pub though, somewhere with a bit of life in it still, good music etc!!

Cheers

The salutation, always a lively atmosphere, not sure that it does food on Friday nights though...

I think this advice will be more than a little late but I would strongly recommend Bawtry. It is a short taxi ride from the races but is worth it. There are many great places to eat (Dower House, Emiolio's, Caviar) to name but a few and a few really nice bars, such as Zinis (which also does food but I wouldn't suggest you have more than tapas as it is a little overpriced for the quality) and the Wine House. Also a few really good pubs.

A very pretty town in general that I can recommend as I frequent it regularly!

Hopefully this will be of help for next time.
