Stag party trying to stay out of the pub daytime Sat17/7/10

Hi

As the title says, we are looking to keep the boozing levels down during the day so that we can all have a night out. We're not in our 20's any more. I've looked at cricket, speedway, dogs, horse racing, music, comedy, outdoor cinema, blah de blah, and they are all either not on or on at night. Old Trafford trip is a possiblilty but there are some people who aren't so into football. Live music or a comedy club would be fantastic! Failing that, we'll end up getting hammered anyway.

Does anyone have ideas? We are staying centrally but would be willing to jump on some transport. Clay pigeon shooting is a bad idea as some of the guys do that often anyway.

Thanks for reading!

daytime ctivities for a stag party in the city centre are a bit thin on the ground, to be fair. theatre or shows don't really fit the bill, do they? just outside the centre, you could go to the indoor go karting centre near old trafford. failing that, also outside the city centre, you could go to parrs wood entertainment complex (didsbury area) for ten pin bowling, laser quest etc.

see links below.

you may consider rusholme (the curry mile) for an afternoon nosebag but i suppose that would involve drinking.

and what trip to manchester would be complete without a trip to the magnificent city of manchester stadium!!

Hi,

Two more possibilities, both easily reached from the city centre. They are next to The Trafford Centre, on the same bus route ( 250, or X50 ) as Old Trafford and Daytona. The Trafford Centre also has ten pin bowling and Laser Quest.

Good luck!

There's an indoor golf simulator place near Piccadilly Station that might be worth a look.
