Friday afternoon party in March

Hiya,

I’m looking for a venue for food and drink for around 30 people following a wedding at Manchester Registry Office on a Friday afternoon and would appreciate any suggestions.

Regards

I guess most hotels might be able to offer some space, but the first place that came to my mind was Epernay, the champagne bar at Great Northern. They have space to the right of the bar area that can be "fenced off" and might be ok for the sort of private party you have in mind, but you'd have to contact them to check...

Hi,

Another suggestion would be Mr Thomas's, they cater for functions and it's only a short walk from the registry office.

Good luck and I hope that all goes well!

The Midland and Radisson Edwardian Hotels are both distinctive and well regarded places; both are just 2-3 mins stroll from that Registry Office.

We went to Brown's after our registry office ceremony. Only 12 of us, but they'd be able to cater for 30 no problem - not much more than a 5 minute stroll from the registry office (assuming it's the one just off Albert Square).

Also, Jamie's Italian, opening 20th February. It will have 3 private dining rooms that look amazing. They'd also be able to accomodate y ou in the main restaurant.

Also, Albert's Shed caters for wedding parties.

The mezzanine at Dukes92 as well - particularly if you're looking for something more informal/buffet type - plus you get the big balcony as well if the weather's good.

Looks like it only seats 8, 8 and 12 respectively.

Another suggestion may be the upstairs room at the English Lounge. We booked it for a cousins reunion the other year.

Gosh, brilliant - thanks. (yes - it's a more informal buffet type thing with a bar that we're looking for) Browns, Albert's Shed and the mezzanine at Dukes92 all look ideal. I'll get weaving.
