Train to "Manchester Oxford Street" (not Manchester Piccadilly). start following the signs to GMEX.
When you reach GMEX walk in front of it until you reach Deansgate, turn left. About 10 minutes walking
Actually, Deansgate Station looks like it is even closer to the Hilton Hotel - if your train doesn't stop there, get off at Oxford Road and get free bus number 2 from outside the station, or stay on the train to Piccadilly and take the Antricham Tram to the G-Mex station.
Don't think there are direct trains from the airport to Deansgate which is why I suggested Oxford ROAD (must have been thinking of somewhere else)
The nationalrail journey planner suggests that there is one per hour (the Transpennine train) departing the Airport at about 27 mins past the hour - suggest you check it out at www.nationalrail.co.uk .
I actually took that train from Manchester Airport to Deansgate Station, think the final destination is Liverpool (I Had to run for it!). Takes about 30 minutes and the Hilton is just across from the station.
Reason it may not be on the map is that it has only recently opened.
The reason why you can't find the address on the website is because this is a very new building called Beetham Tower - now the tallest residential building in Europe. I think the best thing you could do is get a train into either Picadilly or Victoria Station from the airport and get a black cab (there are always lots outside the stations) to your hotel. It shouldn't cost you more then 3 pounds from either station to your hotel and it is much easier than trying to judge stops on the tram or another train - and about the same price!
Enjoy your stay
Agree with Laura - I would get the train to Piccadilly and then grab a cab from there as it's only a short ride away and at least the cab will drop you off right outside the front door! The hotel has only just opened in the last month or so and it's in the tallest building in Manchester - watch out for it when you're coming in to land at Manchester Airport!
