My husband has anaphylaxis to seafood. He carries an epipen which we will be taking overseas with us. We are going to both France and Italy. Any recommendations in advising restaurants of his allergy? We've never had an issue in Australia, a lot of places just advise that they can't 'guarantee' which we understand but we just notify them so they are extra mindful.
Is this request something we might get funny looks over?
Should we carry something written down in the translated language? Or better yet, learn how to say it in French or Italian?
