Advice Dijon and Strasbourg Itineray

Can I please have some advice. I will be arriving Strasbourg on Sunday afternoon in June next year, and will need to leave Dijon on Wednesday afternoon to go back to Paris. Am trying to decide whether to spend one or two nights in Strasbourg, and whether a day trip to Beaune from Dijon would be worth it. I will be using trains so will not have access to a car. Thanks

Getting from Dijon to Beaune is very straightforward and there are reasonably frequent local TER trains so advance booking is not required. Getting from Strasbourg to Dijon is a bit more difficult, though easier than it was a few years ago. You will probably have to go to Mulhouse and change there for a TGV train to Dijon. For this and the Dijon-Paris journey you are stronly recommended to book in advance when bookings open about 3 months before you are travelling. For a good idea of timings, have a look at www.voyages-sncf.com

Dijon is a beautiful city to explore but the museums are closed on Tuesdays so plan accordingly.
