Sleeping stops for the Rue du Vin?

Hello. We will be renting a car out of Strasbourg and driving the rue du vin over to Burgundy and then down through Beaujolais. We've done the wine road before but always just in one day -- always wishing we had more time to linger. Now that we have time, all the beautiful little villages seem to blur together and I can't remember which we liked best. Can anyone offer some recommendations on a couple of places to stay between Strasbourg and Colmar -- or further down toward Beaune even? This is a wine themed expedition so we'll be tasting along the way and are trying to combine the best tastings with the most beautiful and authentic villages. Thank you.

I once stayed in Rouffach, which is a few kilometres after Colmar (coming from Strasbourg) but not touristy at all.

The hotel has a really good restaurant and great selection of wine.

The main villages, beautiful but a little touristy and busy in season include Riquewihr, Eguisheim and Kaysersberg and all would be nce to stay in.

The link below suggests a nice next stop after the Route du Vin.
