Mid-city parking or late night tram?

We are a country couple in our 60s and want to attend an evening function in Place Kleber, in the centre of Strasbourg. We seem to have to decide between getting a hotel nearby which would mean driving right into the city centre and squeezing our new car into a tight parking space, or staying further out where driving and parking is easier but then then getting back to our hotel somehow (by tram?) late at night (I mean, after 9pm, not after midnight). Would anyone have any advice for us please?

Sorry I'm not close enough to Strasbourg to advise you, but hope you have a wonderful evening.

Thank you. After our night in Strasbourg we are looking forward to spending a week in Alsace, in Bergheim.

hi

Place Glutenberg Parking in the centre of the city was quite good and clever that I took pictures. It is all angled parking and there are no columns to squeeze in between.

we drove a new Megane and did not feel cramped.

Bergheim is a lovely peaceful authentic Alsacian village. You'll be very comfy here.

Thanks for that. Staying in the city sounds like a good option.
