Bordeaux or Beziers?

We have 5 or 6 days free early July, and we can get cheap flights to both above destinations.

Can anyone give an opinion on the more interesting option.

We just want to visit pretty town and villages and soak up some of the local culture along with good food and wine.

Also, can you go without booking accommodation and get something on the day?

If not where would you suggest as a base?

Bordeaux is a big city rather than a town but is absolutely stacked with places to go and things to see. Easy to get around with an excellent network of trams and buses for just €11,30 a week or €4,30 a day.

Take a look under Top Questions to the right for ideas on how to spend a few days.
