We will be on a tour in Sarlat for a week. We are hoping to stay for a few more days in Dordogne, and we've heard some great things about St.Emilion. Is there a train that we can take from Sarlat to St. Emilion? How difficult is it to return to Paris from St. Emilion? What do you suggest may be the best way? Alternately, if there is a convenient and lovely town to visit in place of St. Emilion, please let us know!
We've also considered leaving the Dordogne after our tour, traveling to Paris by rail and stopping along the way in a town or two on our way north. We've looked at Tours or Limogenes, but they don't seem to compare to the towns in Dordogne. If you have any suggestions or insights, they would be welcome!
Thanks so much!
