hi there, is it better to buy the orange holiday sim at the airport or from a tobacco shop in paris.
we ll be arriving on the 27th july in paris IA and would be staying quite close to the champs elysees.
It would be better to buy it from the Orange shop where they install and activate the sim for you.

i appreciate it.
On an earlier thread someone posted a list of Orange store locations in Paris; a search should come up with it. I use the one on Blvd. St.-Michel, but there is surely one close to (if not actually on) the C-E.
At CDG a couple of days ago I noticed that pretty much every Relay store plus a couple of kisoks were selling the Holiday SIM. There are instructions on the packaging about how to activate it. Clearly a lot of them are sold that way, which is very convenient as you don’t have to spend time finding an Orange store.
If you are even slightly tech savvy and capable of following instructions the easiest way will be to get the SIM at the airport and have service working immediately on your first day.
Last month there was an Orange kiosk near the exit of terminal 2E where I bought my holiday SIM card. The employee was helpful and installed the SIM card in my phone. Two weeks later when I topped up at the Orange store, another employee explained how to register the phone number in order to keep it active (it’s in the booklet of the card’s packaging.)
Which SIM card did you get specifically? And what was the cost? Thank you.
discussion is the Orange Holiday SIM, which costs €39.99 for SIM:
