Restaurant Reservations in October

As our trip in May was cancelled, I have a question regarding resturant reservations during the first week in October. Is it necessary to make one for every meal or is it possible to just walk off the street and get a table for lunch or dinner? Here are some of the restaurants I am interested in:

Le P’tit Troquet

Taverne Henri IV

Le Pre Verre

Le Vin Sobre

Le Coup Chou

La Petite Périgourdine

Le Petit Prince Paris

Le Grand Vefour

Brasserie Balzar

Au Petit Marguery

Jacques Cagna

Geneva, Switzerland

www.bofingerparis.com (brasserie)

www.lintillac-paris.com (south west meal)

www.pomze.com (round the apple gourmet journey)

For restaurants like Le Grand Vefour, you cannot simply walk in off the street, not for lunch or dinner. They are often fully booked months in advance. Someone might have canceled 5 minutes before you walked in but you really cannot count on that. When we were there a year ago June there were certainly some tourists but there were also many locals celebrating special events. October is not a slow time.

You will never get seated without a reservation at:

Le Ptit Troquet (it is TINY, they turn people away all the time)

Allard (it is uber popular)

Le Pre Verre (ditto)

Le Petit Prince de Paris (ditto again)

Le Grand Vefour and Jacques Cagna require reservations as they are higher-end restaurants. You wouldn't go there without one.

You could probably get a seat at Brasserie Balzar without a res.

Not sure about the others.
