This may be a silly question, to some.

Absinthe and pernod, are they the same thing

and do they taste the same?

I quite like a drop of pernod now and again.

Is absinthe legal now? I am right in remembering there was a time when it wasn't?

I found this under the USA Customs and Border information. It looks like it still is prohibited to bring into the USA.

Your welcome "PJ" . It is legal to bring it into Canada.

To be honest I don't like the taste. I'd rather bring home Cognac or a passion fruit flavored Cointreau cocktail mix or bottle of Pineau des Charentes!
