Shopping in Paris - Where to stay?

We are a family of 4 with kids aged 11 & 9.

Would like a hotel near major shopping like Galeries Lafayette or similar because it also has a food court/grocery downstairs.

Should be near shopping because if kids are tired I can go down & walk around.

Should also be near a metro station.

Budget if possible less than US$500 per night (wonder if that's reasonable). Are there hotels which can accommodate 2 adults & 2 kids? I wonder if it's also possible to book as 3 adults (that's what we did in hong kong).

Are you looking for something charming or something "safe"? I suppose, Intercontinental or Concorde Lafayette might do the job.
