You might also look at Hotel Le Regent on Rue Dauphine. Great location.

check out any of these 3-star '..keepers..', well located/situated on the Left Bank, in the upper-6eme--Saint Germain des Prés, to see if any seem a '..fit..' for your own set of personal preferences, priorities, tastes, spacial nneds and budget--

Plus these solid 2-stars in the same great neighborhood(s)--

I have stayed at the Hotel Le Regent, the location was absolutely excellant, metro close by, many cafes , a market, an ATM next door, and only a few minutes walk to Seine.

Staff were nice.

Room was nice, not deluxe, but nice, bathroom was larger then most in Paris and well done, we were content.

Elevator is tiny. One person with bag, or two good friends no bags.

We had a "deluxe room" , and I would say most North Americans would consider room size only average.

I saw the "standard" room, I thought it was a closet. Do not get standard room unless you like walking over your bed to get to door.

Rooms had mini fridge, safe and ac.

Close to Seine, on same road was the HOtel Aubusson. It definately looked a step up, but, is priced accordingly.
