Far view of Eiffel Tower

Hi Everyone,

Just wondering if anyone can suggest a great free place to get an overall view of the eiffel tower from afar.

Maybe a faraway park or hill???

Thanks for any advice.

Although the top of the Eiffel Tower can be seen above rooftops across the city, one of the best views is from the Seine. The Pont d'lena lies at the foot of the tower, bridging the river to link it to the Trocadero Gardens. Enjoy Paris!

Hi,

The top of the Montparnasse Tower gives you a great view - have a look at

The classic view is from Trocadero, looking across the river.

For views from a far away park or hill, head for Montmartre, the steps in front of Sacre Coeur, for example.

Also Parc des Buttes Chaumont, Parc de Belleville...

"From afar", my favorite view is from the terrace cafeteria on top of the Printemps department store. It's also an excellent vantage point for Sacre Coeur and other sites.

I agree with previous poster the cafeteria on top of Printemps is great. Have a free view and then if you want an inexpensive lunch stay for a bit longer.
