Convention Metro to Lux Gardens 3.3 km about 40 minutes.

Convention Metro to Eiffel Tower 2.9 km about 35 minutes.

That's of course if you don't stop along the way (its hard to walk places in Paris without stopping along the way!).

You can use Google maps to get walking directions (with time and distance) between any two points/addresses in Paris.

First off, Convention is not very close to Montparnasse. At a guess it's probably close to 2km in a straight line. The JduL is about another km along almost exactly the same line. I would guesstimate the Eiffel Tower is about 2.5 km from Convention.

How long it would take to walk depends on too many factors including how fast you walk but perhaps more importantly how good you are at not allowing yourself to be distracted, perhaps 45 minutes to the JduL, a shade less to the ET if you walk reasonably quickly and keep your eye on the prize...

You will really need a street map of Paris when you are there so perhaps getting one now would be a good plan. Meanwhile many sites including Google maps and mappy.com will give you distances and walking times but it is probably better to estimate the time yourself based on your own walking speed and habits. We generally find that if we do not have to be anywhere at a specific time it takes twice as long to walk anywhere in Paris as one might think and we usually end up walking at least half as far again as the most direct route.
