Hoche isn't even in Paris -- it is in the suburbs.

Try Hotel De L' Esperance and Hotel Excelsior, both in the Latin

Quarter. And a real sleeper.....Port-Royal Hotel. Don't be fooled by the

one star rating.

Good Luck!

I am your man! :)

Try the hotel de la Porte Doree. It's in the 12th. It's not very central then its reasonnably priced. This area is safe and clean, between Gare de Lyon (and its beautiful Tour de l'Horloge) and the Bois de Vincennes. http://www.paris-hotels-paris.com/ . & the hotel Annexe, in the 10th arrondissement. The rooms are nice, and the lounge is pleasant! The 10th arrondissement is quiet, because it's very very central, and there is no sights like the Eiffel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe, but it's safe, and close to the Marais district (if you like shopping, go for it!). http://www.annexe-paris-hotel.com/ .

You may try the hotel Moulin Vert. It's in Montparnasse area. This quartier is nice as well. The hotel is simple, but the staff is cheery and effecient. They have great prices. http://www.hotel-moulinvert.com/ .

They all have special 3 nights package, but the prices may vary depending on the seasons...

There are many places under 80 euros a night in fairly central locations. Here are a few I know:

Hotel Croix de Malte (http://croixdemalte-paris-hotel.com) and Hotel Saint Quentin (http://paris-hotel-saint-quentin.com), both right at Gare du Nord.

Hotel Croix de Malte (http://croixdemalte-paris-hotel.com) at the lively Oberkampf area.

Hotel de France (http://hotel-defrance-paris.com) between Gare de Lyon and the lively Bastille area.

Hotel Damremont (http://damremont-paris-hotel.com) in Montmartre.

Hotel Baldi (http://baldi-paris-hotel.com) roughly between Eiffel Tower and Montparnasse.

That's a good list - I've actually bookmarked it for further reference. The only problem is they don't have an online booking option. But good info regardless.

He meant Avenue Hoche. Very boring out there in my opinion and not where it happens for young party animals at all.

Why don't you rent an apartment? You can get one for that price in the 2nd or 3rd. Much better and more freedom.
