You can buy it at the airport at the RER service window. There are two, one at the TGV station in Terminal 2, the other at Roissypol near T1. CDGVal is a free shuttle train that provides access among the terminals.

If you want to use it from CDG, you will need to purchase a zone 5 variety, prices vary for 1-5 days of use from 19.60€ to 51.20€.

Overall I consider the Paris Visite Pass expensive for what it offers.

Yes the Paris Visite Pass can be expensive, but it is worth doing some research beforehand to see what money off attractions you get. If you are planning to do most of the things on the list it could be a money saver.

I usually suggest the best option for most people is the Mobilis card. This is essentially the same as a travel card in London and can be used as many times as you like in a day, whether by metro or bus.

Thank all of you. Money and value are considerations, but convenience is high on my priority list.

If your visit happens to work with the Monday through Sunday validity of the Navigo Découverte weekly pass that is a considerably less expensive option than the Paris Visite pass. The one day Mobilis passes are also cheaper than the Paris Visite pass especially if you do not plan to take advantage of any of the "perks" that are bundled with the latter. Note that you cannot use a Mobilis pass to travel between either CDG or Orly and Paris by any of the usual routes even if it covers Zones 1-5.

We have used the paris Visite. Just understand that you will probably have to take MORE than four public transport trips a day to make it worthwhile. As we tend to group our sightseeing, we found we didn't do this. Good for convenience though, knowing you can just pop on and of the metro or bus.

Navigo is better value if your days in town are right. Carnets of 10 tickets are cheaper than a ticket at a time.

If you intend any museums, the Paris Museum Pass is fantastic. A real saver. And the joy of popping into something to see maybe one thing, or even to see if you like it as a museum, or repeated visits back to the Louvre. Nice! Plus you skip the queue for tickets at almost every place.

No

Batobus is a private company not associated with Parisian public transportation

This may be too late for the OP, but Batobus does offer discounts to certain cardholders, including the Navigo pass:
