Latin Quarter is somewhat vague and it depends exactly to where you are. Nevertheless, according to La Poste website, here are the post offices in Paris 5th district, whis is normally considered as the heart of Latin Quarter:

PARIS FEUILLANTINES 47 RUE D'ULM

PARIS JUSSIEU 30 B RUE DU CARDINAL LEMOINE

PARIS MOUFFETARD / FEUILLANTINES 10 RUE DE L'EPEE DE BOIS

PARIS SORBONNE 13 RUE CUJAS

Of course there are post offices in the Latin Quarter. Zoom into the 5th arrondissement to find them on the map (envelope symbol):

International stamps are 89 cents.

If you can find such stamps at local magazine and newspaper kiosks or tabacs (some carry them, others don't), then you can just mail your cards in any mail box in the street. They are yellow and you must choose the slot that says 'Autres départements - Etranger'.

I forgot to reply about the postage: it is 0.89 euro (89 cents) for a letter up to 20 g; same price for postcards (you could put them in enveloppes, it's the same price). Up to 50g: 1.75 euro

We are right near Notre Dame, by St. Michel's fountain.

Thank you all. We'll see if we can find some stamps in a kiosk and drop the postcards in a mailbox...otherwise we'll go to the post office

In that case, it's easy to cross the bridge St Michel, and on the island you'll have the post office not far, at 1 boulevard du Palais. It opens at 10 am. But you'll probably find stamps in a kiosk or tabac.

Most or many or some of the Tabacs you see along seemingly every street sells stamps. If you cannot speak French show them a post card and say Les Etats Unis. You can mail postcards from any of the yellow boxes on the streets. They will have two slots one of which will say "etranges", "foreign." This is the slot you want.
