RER to Marriott Hotel?

We will be staying at the Paris Marriott Rive Gauche Hotel in February. We've taken the Air France shuttle into the city before. However, I've noticed that the blue line RER goes to our Metro stop (Denfert Rochereau). Would we have better luck taking this train? Also, do we need to transfer onto the metro line or does it go right to the metro stop.

Thanks

jdmckay

Firstly, none of the AF buses drops off near this hotel.

Secondly, the RER B (the blue line) does not pass all that close to this hotel, you will need to connect using the métro. From Denfert Rochereau, take M6 direction Nation, one or two stops (your choice as the hotel is between the two).

Thirdly, are your asking about connections from CDG or ORY?

1. If from ORY - a taxi will be much easier than the RER - cost about 30€. The RER from ORY, including train changes at Antony and Denfert Rochereau, is 10.75€

2. The RER from CDG will cost 9.10€ including the métro link at Denfert Rochereau.

CDG is the airport. Where do we transfer? Is this doable with small luggage?

Take a taxi. If you're willing to pay for the Marriott, the cost of a taxi is a drop in the bucket.

Our final destination is the Denfert Rocherau.

No, no, you can walk from the Denfert Rochereau RER station to the Marriott, if you are not pulling a ton of luggage. I doubt that it would be any easier to go from the RER over to the metro, down steps, onto metro, go a couple of stops, then steps to the Marriott.

At Denfert Rochereau, you walk out of the station, turning to your right - you are looking at blvd St Jacques - - keep to your right and walk along same street to the Marriott. You do not cross any streets. Should take you about 5-8 minutes or so. It's a fairly tall, modern looking building.

Do a pedestrian 'directions' on google map *from* RER Denfert Rochereau, Paris *to* Marriott Rive Gauche, Paris

Okay, so there IS an RERStation there, and I won't have to get off and transfer from CDG? Luggage won't be a problem.

Google can help answer your question... here's a link: http://g.co/maps/22pe4

It's only 600 meters from the station to the hotel. Once you board the train at CDG you go all the way to Denfert Rochereau which is both a metro and RER station.

Having done this a lot it is very easy. You don't have to transfer on the RER and while you can transfer to the Metro it is an easy downhill walk to the hotel as described above. I find it better then a cab as you don't sit in traffic.
