As an arriving passenger, you do not go through security-- thus, you will be unaffected by the strike as you arrive.

Our daughter arrived today through CDG without any trouble.

The strike is of the security staff and affects (partially) only *departing* passengers (I say partially because not all terminals are affected and because police has replaced most of the private security staff, but waiting time is reported as being longer).

Le Parisien reported this evening that outbound traffic at 2E and 2F (the busiest international terminals) has been unaffected, with normal queue times being reported. The union has announced that because of the not-so-grate-akshully impact and flagging enthusiasm from their membership, the strike may end soon.

Our son arrived at CDG without any problems. As they were demonstrating in the departure area, the only clue that anything was out of the ordinary in the arrivals area was the noise. Very loud music, shouting slogans, etc. Otherwise, no problems at all.

The news this afternoon from Le Parisien was that the unions had signed an agreement with the employers and were urging their memnbers to resume work. I got the impression that many workers didn't want to prolong the strike.
