Is taking the metro at Porte Maillot safe at 9pm?

i will be at a conference at Palais de Congres in June. One of the events finishes at 9pm. Is it safe to walk to the closest metro stop, Porte Maillot or Neuilly Porte Maillot to go back to my hotel near Hotel de Ville? Thanks

Apart from the vampires and the packs of werewolves, that is.

I have traveled on the metro from one end of Paris to the other at midnight without hesitation -- the metro is in my experience always full of people till very late -- 9 is not even late.

The sun hasn't even set at 9pm.

Since there is still sun indeed, the vampires become a non-issue... lucky! :D

but the metro is underground -- so the Vampires -- still an issue -- in fact they are an issue in the metro all day

sewexciting, the Paris metro is very safe and efficient way of getting around. Also, Paris tends to live on a later rhythm than what I personally am used to - so at 9:00 pm people are still finishing up dinner - and the metro won't be empty or scary.

Palais de Congres is in a very safe, upscale area. And Hotel de Ville is AMAZING at night, you should definitely see it after sunset!

Enjoy your conference - hope you find some free time to do some sightseeing too!

If it were me, I'd take Bus 73 to Place de la Concorde, then Bus 72 - for the scenery along the way.
