the Paris Pass is a marketing scheme in which the Paris Visite and the Museum Pass are put in one envelope and a hefty fee added on top -- they through in a few coupons as well for this and that. this is never a good deal IMHO.

The Visite is rarely a good transport pass -- you are best off getting the ND and then patching the ends that fall before and after the M-Sun in which it is good, with individual tickets from a carnet. a carnet (10 metro tickets) can be purchased for 12.70.

If you will be going to lots of museums and monuments covered by the museum pass it is probably a good idea -- especially for a first timer. You need to organize it so that your main use falls during the consecutive days it is active -- e.g. if you plan to go to Versailles, make sure it falls during your use of the MP as it is one of the pricier options covered.

you can pick up the ND, the museum pass and carnet of tickets easily on arrival

Do not buy the Paris Pass.

Tomorrow is Sunday? You arrive on Monday?

Then, recommend Navigo Decouverte. Bring photos (25 x 35 mm) with you.

Add only Zones 1 & 2 to the ND and purchase separate tickets if you are taking the RER/metro into Paris. You can decide later whether to reload with another week or just use individual tickets. You'll probably find the convenience worth the reload.

You should buy the Museum Pass only if the admissions to places you plan to visit on Consecutive Days exceed the cost of the pass. You do not have to purchase it at the airport as you can purchase it at any venue included on the pass.

The museum pass gets you past the line to buy tickets, but does not get you past the security lines.

You need one photo per person for the ND. You can print them on your computer, cut them to size and bring with you.

La Marais is in zone 1, as is all of central Paris. That's the one you want ... It's sold as Zone 1-2. If you got outside those areas, you can buy the needed ticket separately. The ND card is a great convenience and the 5€ service fee is worth it.
