Where to view the ET at night

I would like to catch the ET at night, especially the on the hour light show. My preference would be to do so while having a lovely glass of wine or cocktail. Any suggestions?

Yes, and there are lots and lots of suggestions if you just peruse this forum, read trip reports, look at a map...

From Trocadéro or from the Champ de Mars are the two classic places.

Kerouac is right........ the Peace Pavilion across the street from Ecole Militaire viewing from the North across the Champs du Mars is magnificent and the Trocodero looking South across the Seine are the preferred viewing spots.....

The cafés on the Trocadero are the logical choice, as they have a good view of the tower across the river.

Lots of people having a glass of something "bubbly" on the river cruises. The view is great from there.

Wlak out onto the Pont des Arts, the pedestrian bridge one down from the Pont Nuef, with a bottle of bubbly and two glasses after dark and look around. You will invariably be with a bunch of other people, some picnicing, some playing instruments, others sitting on spread out blankets. You can see about half of the tower from there.

(The bubbly is illegal but it's rare that anyone comes along and asks you to leave or put it away)

You want to be close to it?

Ave de Sacy (2nd street on your right walking from the Seine on Avenue de la Bourdonnais).
