Where in Le Marais?

Can anyone recommend a budget hotel near good restaurants, shopping and bars in Le Marais for 2 women?

It also would have to be near a metro as one traveller has a walking disability.

Would your traveling companion's walking disability prevent them from climbing lots of stairs? I only ask because most métro stations have a lot of them. If so, you might consider using the bus system instead.

Charming budget hotel with a perfect location in Le Marais: http://hoteljeannedarc.com/?lang=en . Location is close to Saint-Paul metro station and La Place des Vosges. On the the same block is the very nice Place du Marché Sainte-Cathérine with several restaurants and cafés. Rooms for 2p start at 96€.

I like the Hotel Bastille Speria on Rue de la Bastille. You have a choice of several metro and bus lines - and the Richard Lenoir market - very nearby.

The hotel has an elevator. I wouldnt eat the 13 euro breakfast - or whatever it is now - there are so many economical places nearby.

We really liked the Beaubourg - the superior room we booked in October (three nights) was very reasonably priced. Right near the Pompidou Center, just a few blocks from the center of the Marais in one directions, and from buses and metro in the other. There are boutiques every few meters and restaurants/cafe, as well.

My very favourite option in that area was recently revamped and reopened under a different name (and with its rates substantially increased).

Other convenient hotels in the Marais or on its immediate vicinity would be the following:

Hôtel du Haut Marais

Hôtel de la Place des Vosges

Hôtel Paris France

Hôtel du Septiéme Art

Hôtel Caron de Beaumarchais

Hôtel de la Brettonerie

Hôtel Emile

Hôtel de la Herse d'Or

Le Relais du Marais

My Hôtel in France Le Marais

Hôtel Bellevue & du Chariot d'Or

Grand Hotel Du Loiret
