Best croissants in Paris?

We are renting an apartment on the border of the 6th/7th (near Rue de Grenelle & Blvd Raspail). We LOVE good food. Where are the best croissants near to us? Also, best boulangerie, patisserie (macarons), chocolatier, etc.

Thanks!

Girlfriend! Get on the metro and step off at Notre Dame de Lorette.

The rue des martyrs has three of the best croissants in Paris as voted by Le Figaro:

Gaudard, Landemaine and Delmontel.

Oh you lucky thing !!

I stayed in that area and this place was leaps and bounds above many others IMHO

painrisien.com/les-gourmandises-deiffel-gill…

The line is always there but moves fast .. croissants ..so very good but the tartlets and pastries exceptional.

The simple fig tartlet or apple, apricot.. delicate.. fresh.. so very good

I liked to stop here for a snack to have along my days travel.

This forum is dangerous for me today..I just finished going on about the butter and cheese at Marie-Anne Cantins shop in another thread...

that is another shop you must check out

I should check if I did my review of that place as I have some great pictures of some of their creations ... you will have a hard time removing yourself from infornt of the showcase

If you get in the rue de Seine / St Germain area, you will find several of the very best chocolate stores in France. Also in the area is Gerard Mulot with superb pastries (oh, the macaroons...), as well as the fancy Pierre Herme (his basic macaroons are not as fantastic as Mulot's IMO, but he has some very imaginative ones).

Thanks so much for the recommendation. That shop is near the Champ de Mars. We are right on top of the #69 bus line and I am pretty sure I can just take the bus to the Marie-Anne Cantin shop. My DD and I LOVE good cheese!

We are focusing this stay in Paris on the gardens and the food. Planning a taste-test of croissants and macarons. Keep those recs coming! Thanks!
