Yes, sometimes. If you don't see "age 60+" on the sign, look for "carte vermeille." Or "senior."

The cinema near our hotel gives us a senior discount without us asking for it, lol.

It's all a question of looking your age. ;-)

I'm not aware of any discounts for elderly non-residents on transport in Paris, though long-distance trains may have "senior" fares.

The SNCF site has fares for 60+, just slighty cheaper than the normal fares.

Re SNCF +60 fares - you need a specific French ID card - not sure what it is called. Just showing your passport and saying you are over 60 does not seem to be enough. I asked when I was buying our tickets for Bordeaux last month.

We have always taken advantage of the +60 rates on SNCF and we book the tickets on line.

we have always gotten the over 60 fares on SNCF with no questions asked and we are obviously not French. there are no discounts for non-EU sorts at state run museums but we have found that the cinema, and sometimes smaller exhibits do accord them -- we got senior discounts at the Monnaie for their Willy Ronis exhibit (may be the best photo exhibit I have seen) and for the Arbus exhibit at the Jeu du Paume. So it never hurts to ask.

Beware, on SNCF, you indicate your age & this may or may not offer you a discount. However, if you are over 60 & intend to travel a lot, there is the "Carte Senior+". This costs € 65 per year & gives a discount of between 25% & 50% on regular fares, but usually the cheap non-modifiable Prems fares are less expensive.
