Port Maillot

Staying at the Concorde La fayetta in a couple of weeks. Is the area good for child friendly restuarants. Tickets for the busses and metro? Is it possible to but tickets for 3 days?

Many thanks in advance.

There are a few chain restaurants just across from the hotel next to the Meridien Hotel. Chez Clement is family friendly and very close.

The hotel is pretty much above the metro ststion where you can get tickets. For more info on ticket options, maps and prices pop onto www.ratp.fr

How many, how old, children?

There are restaurants in every direction. One that is particularly family friendly is Indiana. We've enjoyed many excellent meals at Ballon des Ternes right on the opposite corner from the hotel. And, there's a nice cafe right across the street.

There's an SNCF office right on Place de Porte Maillot with a (usually) attended ticket window.

Which tickets to request would depend on the ages of your children.

Chez Clément is really good. The only thing i should say "no" to is Steak Tartare....don't like it at all, but is not a restaurant issue.... XD Hipopotamus is also great... In Paris there are many different places to have a great meal... i'm going back to Paris tomorrow and i can't wait!

There's also a small shopping mall next to your hotel, with a Paul chain patisserie for croissants, simple sandwiches to go; also IIRC there's a small pizza outlet in the mall for 'fast food'. The wonderful Galeries Gourmandes supermarket is there too, offering lots of food options to go. There's the Square Solzhenitsyn nearby for a meal in the park, or even better, Parc Monceau isn't far.
