Easiest way to get from CDG to Chantilly please

Hi,

Flying into CDG and rather than go into Gare du Nord in order to get the train back out to Chantilly, we wondered if there was an easier way to get there

Obviously we could hire a car but just wondered if there was a bus/train we could catch.

Thanks

I can't find a suitable bus route. You can get a train to Criel and another to Chantilly, but it takes longer than going via Paris, and they are probably less frequent..

You might be lucky and arrive at Gare du Nord at a time convenient for one of the RER D trains which is extended beyond Orry-la-Ville to Chantilly-Gouvieux and Criel. That would be a simpler change. They only run about once an hour though. Otherwise you would need to get an SNCF train from the main station at street level.

You can get a bus to Senlis from CdG (bus station at Terminal 1&3 RER stop) and then get a second bus from Senlis to Chantilly, but neither of these buses are very frequent (one per hour possibly?) and are not very fast. So, unless you want to make a point of visiting Senlis "en route" to Chantilly, I'd suggest the train via Paris or a taxi straight from CdG.
